Pre booking program
We offer an incentive for pre booking services with 15 Knots. We reserve instructor, equipment and offer you an incentive rate for doing so. In exchange, we can handle your experience with us much better. This a risk free program. You can cancel anytime before 6pm of the day previous to your reservation date at no cost. No shows or no calls are charged in full for the service reserved.
Weather Policy for Kiteboarding Lessons & Courses
Prepaid reservations receive an incentive on discounts and guarantee of instructor and equipment availability for the specified dates.
Our policy is simple. We believe that neither you or us are god. Even if our kite powers might make us feel differently. :) Because forecasts are just a prediction and not a certainty, if the weather is BAD, we believe you shouldn’t be charged. We will never charge you if:
- The weather is unsafe or unsatisfactory to provide the service on the reserved date. Storms, lightning, heavy rain or winds under 10 knots would be unsafe conditions.
So, when you pre book, we include a RISK FREE guarantee. If the weather during your pre booked dates makes it impossible to provide lessons, you can either:
- Re-schedule for a later time based on availability.
- Use the remaining balance in the future on lessons or at the shop.
- Request a refund.
We send email confirmations when services are booked and confirmed. Your reservation is confirmed only when you click accept on your email for the reservation request. We’ll get confirmation and will hold a space in our calendar for the specified date. We will also reserve an instructor and equipment for you to ensure your service request can be met.
We understand that life happens, and if it does, let us know so we can cancel your reservation. We require your call up to the day before the reservation by 6:00pm EST at the latest. At this point, there is no charge to your credit card or your account. You can re-schedule for a later time based on availability, use the remaining balance in the future on lessons or at the shop or request a refund. Once you cancel your lesson, we’ll send you a confirmation for your records and we’ll take the your desired action looking forward.
Any cancellations outside the mentioned parameters or no shows are charged in full for the service quoted on the reservation. Just contact us up to the day before by 6pm at the latest in order to avoid this charge. We don’t like doing this.
This policy only covers hard products, it does apply to prepaid services. All items on layaway will be held for a period of 90 days from the invoice date unless otherwise specified on your invoice. After this period, your item will be placed on the store back for sale. You can still use your paid credit balance towards purchases in our store up to an additional 90 days for a total of 180 days from initial invoice date. After 180 days any remaining balance is forfeited and applied to restocking fees. You account will be adjusted accordingly and no credit or balance will remain.
Refunds and remaining balance credits
We issue refunds by paypal or by check. Our system does not allow us to process refunds to credit cards.
Any unused balance credit for a layaway is good for up to 180 days from the original invoice date of the layaway.
Any unused balance for prepaid lessons or services is good for up to 1 year (365 days) of the initial payment date. This is from the first day you started lessons with us.
